Meet John Clark

A Conservative Republican

John Clark has been a Kingsport and Northeast Tennessee resident for 25 years. Born in Havana, Cuba, he immigrated to the United States at age two with his parents and two brothers, fleeing communism in favor of the freedoms and opportunities that America offered.  John was raised in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, where he and his family proudly became American citizens in 1970 while John was in seventh grade. He considers the day he became a U.S. citizen one of the best days of his life.

John first came to Northeast Tennessee to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he became a dedicated Vol for life, met his future wife Etta Ryan, and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1980.

More jobs,
higher wages

Bringing more jobs, and higher paying jobs, to Northeast Tennessee will be my first priority as a United States congressman.

I want to expand access to quality, affordable healthcare for Tennesseans and across America, but I want to find solutions in the private sector.

I want to fight against big government and in favor of individual American ingenuity. My faith is in the people of the United States above all else.
